Bakery “Poss”

This traditional bakery is just a few steps away from your accommodation. Here you can get freshly baked bread rolls or other pastries every day so that you can provide for yourself in your vacation apartment (closed on Mondays).


Breakfast at Hotel DAS WESEL

The hotel “DAS WESEL” is just a 3-minute walk from your accommodation. During the season, a rich breakfast buffet is offered, which you can also use. ONLY with reservation in advance on the hotel’s website.


Events in Oberwesel

Take place all year round, e.g. Rhine in Flames with our annual Oberwesel wine festival, or the medieval Spectaculum. You can also take advantage of the offers at the Kulturhaus Oberwesel. Further information can be found on the Oberwesel Tourist Information website.


Bike Rental

There are numerous bike rental shops along the Rhine that allow you to explore the region on two wheels.

Pop-up Wine Booth

From Easter to October, the wine booth directly on the Rhine promenade is open at weekends (Thursday to Sunday). Every weekend, a different Oberwesel winegrower pours his wines. You can find more information here.


Book- and Toy-Store Hermann

The specialist store for books, toys and paper goods in Oberwesel town center has been in business for over 120 years and is now in its fourth generation. Here you will find hiking maps and books on all topics relating to the Middle Rhine Valley, from myths to culinary recommendations. There is also a wide selection of toys for children. For souvenirs from the Middle Rhine Valley, it is also worth taking a look in this lovely store.


Public Transportation

Oberwesel is easily accessible by train and the train stops in all the larger towns along the Rhine. There are regular bus connections to the surrounding towns and to the ferry to Kaub. Take a look, for example, at the website of the Rhine-Moselle Transport Association.


Farmer’s Market

In Oberwesel, the weekly market usually takes place every Friday from 8 am to 12:30 pm on the market square. The traders offer regional fruit and vegetables and meat and sausage products, as well as South Tyrolean specialties, Mediterranean delicacies and fresh fish.


Groceries

Oberwesel has a large number of grocery shops (REWE, Aldi, Lidl) in the Tuchscheren industrial area at the end of the town towards Bacharach (upstream).


ATMs

Swimming pools

The outdoor pool in St. Goar, the leisure pool in Rheinböllen, the natural adventure pool in Bingen or the Rhine Wave swimming and wellness pool in Gau-Algesheim are nearby.
