Viewing platform Rhine-Moselle view<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Rhein-Mosel-Blick in Koblenz is a real gem for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. High above the city, near Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, this viewpoint offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Deutsches Eck, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. Away from the tourist crowds, you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape here in peace and quiet. Especially at sunset, the scenery is transformed into a magical play of colors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: Take a pair of binoculars with you to marvel at the passing ships at close range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A piece of Iceland in the Middle Rhine Valley: the geyser in Andernach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A real natural spectacle awaits you in Andernach: the world’s highest cold-water geyser! With a fountain that shoots up to 60 meters into the sky, you almost feel like you’re in Iceland. Just like there, there are mystical legends and fairy tales surrounding the Middle Rhine Valley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exploration begins at the Geyser Center, where interactive exhibitions explain the forces of nature behind the geyser. The tour then continues by boat to the Namedyer Werth peninsula, where the geyser erupts approximately every two hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: arrive early, feel the magic of the place – and have your camera ready for spectacular shots!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Hunsr\u00fcck Railway over the Hubertus Viaduct : A fairy tale on rails<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A ride on the Hunsr\u00fcck Railway is like a journey through a fairytale book. The route winds its way through dense forests, past rock formations and over the imposing Hubertus Viaduct – a real highlight! The sandstone bridge towers 30 meters above the gorge and offers breathtaking views of the wild and romantic landscape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The railroad line is one of the steepest in Germany and is reminiscent of alpine train journeys on the Glacier Express. The Hunsr\u00fcck is not called Rhenish Switzerland for nothing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: It’s best to go in autumn – that’s when the forest shows all its colors and the Hunsr\u00fcck is bathed in a magical light!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabenacksteig: adventure with a view<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 1.6 km long Rabenacksteig near St. Goarshausen is an alternative route parallel to the Rheinsteig and can also be planned as a circular route. The path leads over rocks and steep sections and there are a few short steps with footholds and a ladder. If you are looking for an easy, somewhat exposed tour to immerse yourself in the world of climbing at a leisurely pace, the rock faces of Sankt Goarshausen are just the place for you. The view from the rocky outcrop, the “Rabenack”, reveals the Katz & Maus castles and, of course, the Rhine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: Bring sturdy shoes and a head for heights – and don’t forget your camera for the magnificent view!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our favorite hike: from Oberwesel to Bacharach via Stahlberg Castle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This hike combines the romance of the Rhine with castle ruins and fantastic views. Starting from Oberwesel, the best route is via the Elfenlay hiking trail to Sch\u00f6nburg Castle. As you quickly gain altitude, you are quickly rewarded with a stunning view over the Rhine and the castles of Gutenfels and Pfalzgrafenstein at Rheinblick. The route continues through our vineyards, the “Oberweseler R\u00f6merkrug” and St.-Werner Berg vineyards, towards Dellhofen (we simply call it “Dellwe”). The route continues past game reserves and through dense forests to the ruins of Stahlberg Castle – perfect for a relaxing break with a panoramic view. The area is unspoiled and freely accessible. There is also a picnic bench. The route continues through the vineyards of the Steeger Valley (Stahlberg Castle and St. Jost) to Bacharach, where there are also numerous opportunities for refreshments. The best way back is by bus from the Rheinanlagen parking lot in Bacharach to the market square in Oberwesel. In total approx. 11 km (4 hours). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: Take a picnic with you (e.g. bread roll, baloney and wine) and enjoy the view from the castle in peace!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alpaca tours in Bad Salzig<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Experience a relaxed hike with fluffy companions! In Bad Salzig, you can discover the beautiful nature of the Rhineland on the Middle Rhine alpaca tours<\/a>. The gentle animals are the perfect companion on a relaxing walk through vineyards and forests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: It’s best to book in spring or fall, when the landscape is in full color!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wispertal valley in the Rheingau on the other side of the Rhine is a true hiker’s paradise. The picturesque valley trail leads through dense forests, along babbling brooks and idyllic meadows. The tranquillity of the valley is particularly beautiful – ideal for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: Start early to experience the morning mist over the valley – an unforgettable sight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Laach Abbey & Lake Laach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maria Laach Abbey is an impressive monastery in the foothills of the Eifel and a place of tranquillity. Surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, Lake Laach lies directly in front of the abbey. The lake invites you to take a relaxing walk or a boat trip, while the historic abbey impresses with its Romanesque architecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: The lakeside paths around the lake offer great viewpoints – ideal for a break in the midst of nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sayner H\u00fctte in Bendorf is an impressive industrial monument with a filigree casting hall from the 19th century – an architectural highlight! Multimedia exhibitions show the history of iron processing and bring the past to life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip: Don’t miss the atmospheric light installations during the night tour!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
